Hi to all children and parents,
We hope that everyone is keeping well in these uncertain times and that everyone had a nice Easter.
We have attached work for those children/groups that come out to Ms. Dobbs and Ms. Roche’s special education classes.
Please note that the children’s names are not on these documents but if you need further clarification on which group your child is in please email us on ldobbsjroche@gmail.com.
If you decide to use the Seesaw app, all of the work will be in your child’s individual folder, which would eliminate the confusion.
We understand that these are unprecedented times for parents and children and the following is a suggested learning guide for the week and children are under no pressure whatsoever to complete all of this work. If there are any queries or suggestions please contact us through the email provided.
While completing the work, if there is anything in particular that you feel that your child needs extra help with, please get in contact with us and let us know and we will help with this.

Hi everyone!
I hope you are all well and have had a nice Easter break in spite of all that is going on in the world around us at present!
This is a time of uncertainty and all any of us can do, is follow the advice given to us by the experts and to stay at home in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.Of course it is very difficult not seeing family & friends but we are all in this together and we will get through it!
I am fully aware that on top of the worries about keeping safe, parents are worried about their children’s education at this time. We will do our best to support you but a school day cannot be replicated at home and you are not expected to try and do so. We will continue to upload suggested work on our school blog https://marshalstownns.edublogs.org/ The blog now has dedicated tabs on the top of the page for each Class Teacher and also the Special Education Teachers .Click on the tab relevant to your children.
We have also set up Seesaw, an online platform whereby your child has an online portfolio. Class teacher/SET will upload suggested activities (same as on the blog).Your child can send in assignments/photos of some of the work they have completed over the week and teacher can send a comment back. Children will need help with this. If you do not wish to or are unable to engage in this way that is perfectly fine, you can decide to do other activities from RTE learn, websites etc. You know your child best and you can only do what you can do!
If you would like to give Seesaw a go (please see letter attached) email your child’s class teacher for your child’s unique log in details. You can download the seesaw class app or log in on a laptop https://web.seesaw.me/
If you contact teachers for log in details you are thereby giving permission for your child to use Seesaw but please also state that in your email to the class teacher by including the wording that is on the end of the letter. If you do not give permission for your child to use seesaw simply DO NOT contact teacher for log in details .You are under no obligation.
