The children have had a busy last week of term with lots of fun activities. The children played lots of sports such as basketball, unihockey, tag and soccer. They also ran sprints, three legged races, spud and spoon races and relays. They even had a water fight with water balloons and had a visit from the ice-cream van! Here are some snaps from the week.

1st and 2nd Class Tour

1st and 2nd class had a great day on their school tour yesterday. We started the day with a very interesting tour of Ferns Castle. We then moved on to an action packed afternoon in Pirate’s Cove where the children carried out lots of activities such as crazy golf, bowling, bumper boats, soft play, go karting and lots more! Here are some photos of our fantastic day.

Junior and Senior Infants School Tour

Junior and Senior Infants had a wonderful time on their school tour recently in Woodfield House. The sun shone and we made sure to have lots of fun. Have a look at the pictures to see all the children having a blast.

Biodiversity Day of Action

We were recently awarded our fifth Green Schools Flag for Biodiversity. We held a day of action where the students were given the opportunity to investigate the flora and fauna in our school. The pupils were busy all day at various active stations such as young scientists, Lucy’s Bees, Superb Herbs, investigating pond life, wildflower trails, Junior and Senior bug hunts and more. Local author Caroline Busher kindly visited our school for the day and spent time with each class focusing on nature and literacy. A great day was had by all. Many thanks to Caroline for sharing her wonderful gift with us all. Enjoy the pictures.

Cricket Training

All the classes had a wonderful time taking part in Cricket Training. Each class had a session with the trainers from Cricket Ireland. They focused on Cricket skills and Table Cricket. Take a look at the photographs for a closer look. Many thanks to Cricket Ireland for providing the training. Well done to all the classes.
