2nd class had a great week celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge. They made fantastic recycled Easter Bonnets and St Patrick’s day hats and raced as part of green schools and active schools!
We also had great fun dancing and playing at the céilí!

This year the green schools committee held our St. Patrick’s and Easter Bonnet races once again. We also wanted to celebrate ‘seachtain na Gaeilge’. The whole school got a chance to make hats out of recycled materials, for example cereal boxes, milk cartons or just things lying around that were not being used. Everyone had great fun. There were prizes and lots of pictures taken.
Well done to all the wonderful children who created the most amazing hats for our races today. Thanks so much to all the parents/ guardians who helped their child to make such great creations. We have some incredible artists and designers in our midst.

Daisy Tomkins and Lola McCann, students from 3rd class, started up a craft project – where they made, decorated and sold Christmas decorations at a craft fair and all proceeds were given to St. Vincent de Paul.
Such a generous act from two so young and a great example to us all. Altogether they raised €607.00. A huge well done to you both. Attached is an article from a local newspaper.

We had a great day sharing books, revisiting old book friends and welcoming 1st class and Ms O Neill’s class in for some reading time. We had lots of interesting costumes and characters for the day. We also added some creative additions about our favourite books to our self portraits.

Junior Infants and 3rd Class had a great time sharing our favourite books today. Have a look below.

2nd and 6th class joined up for some peer reading for world book day. They had a brilliant time and really enjoyed listening to each other reading their favourite books.
