Journey to Japan!

Third and Fourth Class completed a study on Japan in the past number of weeks. This study was undertaken in English, History, Geography and Science as well as Art.

We wrote our own Japanese Haiku poetry and studied the culture and traditions of Japan-did you know that you can rent a pet for an afternoon in Japan?

We were very lucky to have a first hand account of what it is like to live there as Miss Gately spent a year teaching in the country a number of years ago. She was kind enough to answer all of our questions. Thank you Miss Gately! 🙂

We also created our own Japanese artwork. Below you can see our Japanese fans which had many uses such as  weapons by the warriors as well as wedding invitations for happy couples.
