Junior and Senior Infants have been busy bees working on their Art. The boys and girls were learning about people who help us. We really enjoyed learning about Vets and Firefighters and how they help us in our local community. We hope you like our fish and our firefighters. We also made some beautiful Valentine’s Day Art. We are so proud of ourselves and we made sure to give ourselves a big pat on the back. Well done to all the wonderful boys and girls for working so hard.

January 2022
Hi everyone,
In 4th Class for the month of January we learned all about procedural writing. We did great work and put our writing into practice at the end of the month when we made Rice Krispie Squares. The children had great fun baking and enjoyed eating them.

Mini Golf Course
The boys and girls in second class did a fantastic job of finishing their golf courses. They included lots of obstacles, slopes and materials to add friction in their designs. When the construction was complete, they painted their mini golf course. Don’t they all look superb! The children really enjoyed working on this project and had great fun playing mini golf. Take a look at these photos to see how they got on.

Biodiversity
Fergal from Glanbia’s Operation Biodiversity gave a great talk to the children of fifth and sixth classes recently. The children discuss the various trees donated from Glanbia and decide where to sow.
The children were busy sowing trees and tidying our garden.
One of our students found a hazelnut and sowed it.

St. Brigid’s Day Cross
5th class were busy on the eve of St. Brigid’s day making their crosses out of paper. They did a fantastic job.
Fr. McDonald then blessed all our crosses at mass on the web camera on St. Brigid’s day and all the boys and girls brought home their crosses.
