6th class and Senior infants had a lovely morning sowing lots of vegetables. We planted beetroot, swiss chard, cabbage, peas, scallions, carrots and red onions.
We will need to keep an eye on them over the next few weeks. Well done to all the children and thanks so much to Ms. Byrne – you have super gardeners in Senior Infants.

Daisy Tomkins and Lola McCann, students from 3rd class, started up a craft project – where they made, decorated and sold Christmas decorations at a craft fair and all proceeds were given to St. Vincent de Paul.
Such a generous act from two so young and a great example to us all. Altogether they raised €607.00. A huge well done to you both. Attached is an article from a local newspaper.
Two 3rd class student fundraise for St. Vincent de Paul
We’ve introduced a Buddy Bench in the school yard. If a child is looking for someone to play with they can sit on the bench. Then other children will ask them if they’d like to play with them. Here’s a picture of our Buddy Bench sign which was beautifully decorated by Evie and Saoirse in 3rd class.
