Each student in the school has prepared a horse chestnut for planting at home. Its wonderful to watch its progress over the years and hopefully it will always be a reminder of happy school days.

We have been busy learning about Winnie the Witch. We made magic potions today in Science and used our magical powers to make the potion work. Here we are saying abrakadabra. Happy Halloween from Junior Infants.

We have started our two year campaign to get our fourth green flag for the school. This flag is based on raising awareness of the different types of Travel and its impact, positive or negative, on the environment.
As part of this campaign, 5th and 6th Class students took part in a cycling workshop where they learned important safety skills on how to cycle safely on our roads!

Junior Infants have been very busy today learning about Halloween. Today we used our musical skills of listening and responding to sketch our responses to the song “The Witch Rides”.

First Class are taking part in the RSA Seatbelt Campaign.The children learned about the safety of wearing a seatbelt. They will take part in a poster competition to try and win 2000 euro!
A free talk for parents on Cyber Safety is taking place in Bunclody Library tonight.
Places are free but must be booked in advance by contacting the library on 053 9375466.
Junior Infants were thrilled to have a visit from the ESB recently. They learned a lot about staying safe around electricity and were delighted to receive some new high visibility reflective jackets to keep them safe on the road.
