Emily entered the competition through the school and won 1st prize in the local competition, her picture was put forward and she has now won the National award. Well done Emily.

Junior and Senior Infants have been super busy learning all about Autumn and the changes we see during this beautiful season. We created our wonderful art work using cotton buds. We also worked hard in Science and we learned all about planting. We designed faces on our potatoes and placed cotton wool and cress inside the hole in our potatoes. We can’t wait until our potato people grow hair at home. Happy Autumn everyone!

Junior Infants are very proud of their horse chestnut trees and how they have grown. They cannot wait to bring them home and plant them in their gardens! 🙂
We have been busy learning about Winnie the Witch. We made magic potions today in Science and used our magical powers to make the potion work. Here we are saying abrakadabra. Happy Halloween from Junior Infants.

Junior Infants have been very busy today learning about Halloween. Today we used our musical skills of listening and responding to sketch our responses to the song “The Witch Rides”.

Senior Infants made the most of the good weather on Friday and took their Art lesson outside. Inspired by the Spring, they decided to brighten up the place and paint some lovely colourful flowers. They worked in groups to paint the pictures, with all the members taking turns to paint a piece of each flower so it was truly a team effort. Junior Infants have been learning all about the Arctic this week. They have created their own pictures of the Northern Lights using chalk pastels and their imaginations! I’m sure you’ll agree their pictures are spectacular. 🙂
