Recycling Centre Trip

The boys and Girls in 5th class were lucky enough to go on a trip to the recycling centre in Homestown in Wexford. They learned what happens when items are brought to the centre and how they are separated. They also learned about the environmental effects of landfill and what actions they needed to take to ensure the area was safe.

The children also got to learn about the birds of prey that stop other birds eating the rubbish or bringing the rubbish with them.
