Huge congratulations to Emily Bolger on winning the National Credit Union 7 years and under, general category award.
Emily entered the competition through the school and won 1st prize in the local competition, her picture was put forward and she has now won the National award. Well done Emily.
5th class had great fun litter picking as part of green schools. They cleaned up from the church to St. Josephs Park. 
On Wednesday the 12th March Marshsalstown hosted the Ficheall Chess Tournament which involved 137 children from multiple different schools around Wexford.
Marshalstown were well represented with 17 pupils taking part and they each represented their school exceptionally!
This is a friendly tournament and there was no overall winner announced but everyone had great fun and Marshalstown did very well!!
5th class were busy over the last few weeks learning about Leonardo Da Vinci and all his amazing inventions. The class came up with their very own inventions and sketched this on paper. This lead to a fantastic idea of trying to make some of these in inventions! It was a great opportunity for the boys and girls to make something unique that they may not have had the chance to make before. Each group or individual presented their idea with the theme of the Toy Show in mind. It was great fun and they all did an amazing job!!
5th class had great fun baking and decorating their Christmas Shortbread cookies!!
We have fantastic bakers here in 5th class, well done everyone!!
5th class have been working hard this week learning all about the digestive system and how our bodies work. We went outside and traced around our bodies and filled in the digestive system and as you can see 5th class did a super job!! Well done! 
5th Class were busy on their second day back to school today. They made fantastic hats to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at home tomorrow.
