Senior Infants have been busy learning about the post office. We have learned that you can do lots of things in the post office like send letters, buy stamps, save money, get licences and even apply for a passport!

During Aistear, we were very busy. We set up a post office in role play, made our own post boxes and wrote letters to each other. We really enjoyed putting our letters into envelopes and putting a stamp on them. We posted our letters into the class letter box and waited patiently for them to arrive.

Then the exciting day came! Our postperson Ger came into our class to deliver our letters! He posted them into our own letter boxes and at the end we got to ask him some questions about his job. Do you know he delivers to 500 houses every day?

We really enjoyed learning all about the post office 🙂
